3-door model has an underpowered 1.6-litre engine, while 5-door has marginally better 2-litre lump. 1.9-litre diesel is the best bet, but still no scorcher.
Good traction and feedback aid driving, but the ride is harsh.
Noisy engines.
Cheap to buy, but relatively expensive to run, and residuals won't compare well with rivals.
Interiors feel solid and look smart and stylish. Engines should be reliable, though the previous model had some mechanical issues.
Front, side, curtain bags are standard as is ABS with EBD. 4WD is standard.
Plenty of room for five adults. Boot is adequate and folds to provide 964 litres of space.
Climate control, CD player, remote central locking and electric front windows as standard. Five-door models come in one trim, adding alloys and fog lamps.
Kia Sportage
Good on the road, spacious, cheap.
Very firm ride, some engines are underpowered.

I had driven 3,500 km up to now. It works good, really off road behaviour when engage low range gear, average consumption around 7 l / 100 km. There is pretty confortable to drive during long trips, enough roomy for 5 persons. The car is more orientated for dirt road , rugged roads, less enjoyable for highway.
