2.3-litre V8 Aero has the power and grunt. 1.9 diesel gets it about right.
Decent ride and drive means the 9-5 is a good cruiser and takes corners well. Steering is light on feel though.
The diesel doesn't like to be stretched but the cabin is generally hushed.
Running costs decent residuals middling, buying price good.
Solidly built and look good inside.
Maximum of five NCAP stars. Plenty of safety kit but the airbag provision is mean at just four.
Good room in cabin and boot, and it's fairly practical with splitfolding seats.
Alloys, climate control, electric windows, Cd player as standard.
Volvo V70
Good ride and refinement makes for a good cruiser. Good space and kit levels.
Not the best drive.
