1.4 and 110bhp 1.6-litre petrols are good around town and hold their own on the motorway, though the former does lack power, while the 1.5-litre turbodiesel is a similarly good engine, albeit a noisy one.
Not the most controlled ride though the Note copes well around town. Fairly firm ride.
Diesel clatters away but the cabin is well-insulated.
Good running costs and residuals but the pricing places it competitively with similar crossover cars like the Fusion, but more expensive than genuine superminis.
While the cabin may not appeal to all tastes it should be durable, and Nissan have a good reputation for reliability.
ABS with EBD and four bags are standard. ISOFIX fittings and security kit are also impressive.
TARDIS-like with a big cabin and boot.
CD player and electric front windows as standard, with aircon as an option. Aircon, alloys, luggage board and six-speaker stereo at £1000 extra. Gadgets and leather beyond that.
Vauxhall Meriva
Good space, good drive.
Firm-ish ride at low speed.

Very good ride. nippy little car with plenty of storage/space. only quibble is the auto gearbox. why has it got overdrive button?? Last car i had with over drive was a triumph 2.5 5 speed with o/d in the 70's!. This Note is on motability So don't have to worry about the running costs. petrol consumption seems a little heavier than figures suggest. still it is only used round town which could be why. Previous vehicle was a 1.6 Vauxhall Zafira Life which just seemed to cumbersome when parking. this note is a doddle. Would recommend this Car to anyone
