The hatchback has become increasingly popular in recent years with efficiency, space and ease of urban driving key consideration. The Focus, Astra, Civic and Golf all constitute hatchbacks, and prove to be some of the UK's biggest sellers. Crossover models like the Nissan QASHQAI and Ford C-MAX are blurring the lines of the hatchback segment, which is becoming stretched by higher, longer cars.
