Three small engines, with a 1.3-litre 77bhp petrol that's a waste of time; willing 1.3 turbodiesel with 85bhp; and 1.9-litre diesels capable of 105 or 120bhp. The 1.3-litre model offers power and pull.
Nippy and maneuverable in town but high sides prove a problem on the motorway. Suspension is fairly firm but not uncomfortable.
1.3-litre diesel is quiet, though the 1.9 clatters at low speeds. The tiny petrol is unsurprisingly noisy.
Prices start fairly low, and discounts may be available. Running costs are likely to be as low as the Doblo's dreadful sell-on value.
Materials inside are cheap and nasty, though you're unlikely to try and impress anyone, bar a fruit and veg wholesaler, with the Doblo.
ABS and two front airbags mean pretty poor kit. Rated poorly on NCAP tests.
Five or seven can be easily accommodated, depending on which version you choose. Rear seats fold down to provide a huge amount of space. Split tailgate is available on Dynamic model.
Power steering, locking and electric front windows are available on the entry-level model. Aircon, alloys and CD player available on dynamic trim. Satnav and carphone are options.
Citroen Berlingo Multispace
Huge inside, decent urban drive, cheap.
Looks disgusting, poor extras and safety kit. Crap name.
