Cabriolet Cars

Right. Pay attention cos this is a little confusing. Cabriolets are convertibles, and vice-versa. Both feature a folding roof that opens up to the elements. Which term you use depends on which side of the pond your motoring and linguistic allegiance lies. We Brits tend to say cabriolet, or shorten it to cabrio. To confuse matter still you'll come across 'Roadsters' - which appear to be exactly the same. Roadsters traditionally did not have roll-up windows, though the definition has evolved to refer to sportier cars that stress driving satisfaction over practicality. Roadsters are always 2+2s, or Coupes.
