The smallest engine is a 3.0-litre 258bhp monster that'll clear 0-62 in 6.5 seconds. The 5-litre V10 in the M6 will churn out a staggering 507bhp, but will need some serious revving to deliver maximum torque at over 6000 rpm.
A 'Comfort Damping' setting will smooth out the stiff ride.
The M6 roars under acceleration, otherwise there's little engine noise.
Hefty insurance, tax and running costs hardly place the 6 on the budget list, but resale value should be decent.
Superb quality.
Six airbags as standard with the option for more. Stability and traction control are also standard, as are immobiliser and alarm.
Room for two passengers, beyond that it'll be a push.
Bigger wheels and tyres, voice-activated iDrive controls and a HUD projected on the screen, Adaptive Headlights which turn through corners, Active Cruise Control, are all available as options.
Jaguar XK Coupe, Porsche 911
Handles superbly, stunning power.
Not cheap, and it's not quite the sports car it could have been.
