2.2 and 3.2-litre petrols are both great drives, with the latter switching from 2- to 4-wheel drive.
Corners well thanks to great grip and opens up nicely on the straights. Steering is tight and the ride is comfortable.
Engines rev pleasantly when pushed.
Prices start high. Claw some that cash back with a frugal diesel.
Build quality looks superb in and out. Time will tell on reliability.
Plenty of safety kit with seven airbags, ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution and vehicle dynamic control.
Very tight in the back, but it is a genuine coupe, so you can't expect much else. Bootspace is decent with a high lip.
Leather trim, climate control and cruise control as standard.
Mazda RX-8
Looks great, drives well.
Pricey, not particularly practical.
