Land Rover announces Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4 prices

Prices for the new 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport will start at £44,895, while the new Land Rover Discovery 4 will go on sale from £31,995. Both models go on sale in the UK from 1 September.

Both models are updated inside and out and feature new engines. Land Rover says the new pricing structure reflects levels of standard equipment over previous models.

The Rangey Sport is powered by a choice of a diesel V6 or V8, or as the 5.0-litre petrol Supercharged model. Standad kit includes 19" 15-spoke alloy wheels, 'Jupiter' finish front grille and side vents, LED front side lights and rear tail lights, Dynamic Stability Control, diesel misfuel protection device, touch-screen hard-disc drive navigation with 4x4 interface TMC and voice control, 9 speaker harman/kardon audio system, iPod/USB connectivity module, Bluetooth phone system, 5" TFT information display, keyless push button start and leather seat facings.

The Disco 4 is available with two V6 petrol engines and features a six-speed manual transmission, 18" alloy wheels, LED front side lights and rear tail lights, 4-corner independent air suspension, Terrain Response, Dynamic Stability Control with Trailer Stability Assist, Roll Stability Control, Bluetooth phone system, diesel misfuel protection device, seven seats, 5" TFT information display and keyless push button start as standard.

The new 2010 model year line-up will all be on show at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this coming weekend from July 3-5.
