Citroen and Audi steal the show at security awards

Citroen and Audi took the plaudits at the British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards (BIVSA), winning 11 awards between them and making off with Best Van Manufacturer and Best Car Manufacturer respectively.

The awards ceremony recognise manufacturers' efforts in thwarting car crime.

Audi won gongs for its A4, Audi A5 Cabriolet, Audi S8 and Audi Q5 - as well as picking up the award for best car manufacturer.

The Innovation Award was won by the Volkswagen Group, for its Vehicle Secure Indicator (VSI). Vehicles equipped with this feature have a key fob that allows the owner to check whether their car is locked, even when they are not with the car.

Citroen picked up gongs for the C6 and C4 Picasso Exclusive, picking up the top spots in the Executive and Compact MPV classes for the third year in a row, whilst the C5 Exclusive and C4 Exclusive were awarded Family and Small Family car categories.
