Porsche has refreshed the Boxster roadster and Cayman coupe for 2009 with a series of subtle enhancements.
Changes on the 2009 models include direct injection tech for flat-six boxer engines and the new seven-speed Porsche double-clutch transmission, while entry-levels engines on the models are now 2.9-litre lumps putting out 255bhp or 265bhp on the Boxster or Cayman respectively.
3.4-litre models, with 310bhp and 320bhp, are equipped with direct injection - meaning small increases in power.
Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are down on all models but the baby Porsche's still aren't what you would call green.
Visually there's not much that's new, aside from some tweaked front and rear ends and the inevitable addition of some LED lights. Gadget-wise there are air-cooled seats, more multimedia, updated PASM and cornering xenon headlights.
The new Porsche Boxster and go on sale in February 2009, at £34,420 for the Boxster and £36,870 for a Cayman, both prices including a session at the new Porsche Driving Experience Centre.
