Renault has released official pictures of the new Megane hatch, having been beaten to the punch when the images were leaked onto the net last week ahead of the launch at the Paris Motor Show.
So, what is there to add to last week's details? Renault has confirmed that the new five-door Megane will be on sale this November from around £12,500 and will be joined by a three-door variant, an estate, a coupe-cabriolet and the Scenic.
While larger than the outgoing model with its large backside, the new hatch is lighter on its feet and 95 per cent end-of-life recoverable by weight, and will benefit from a range of efficient engines.
New from last week are interior shots that show the Megane sporting a floating dashboard with analogue and digital instruments, including an analogue rev-counter alongside a digital speedometer, for some reason.
Climate control is standard, and a massive raft of new multimedia, navigation and comfort systems are optional.
New feature include a remote lighting system that will light up your car if you lose it in a crowded car-park - admittedly more of a danger since the Megane's redesign has turned it into a rather generic Euro-hatch.
