Nissan will show a range of new vehicles at the Paris Motor Show, including the Nuvu - a by-now inevitable vision of future urban transport from Japanese manufacturer - and Pixo, an inevitable green-car vision of the future with a silly name.
The Nuvu is a three-metre 2+1 seating electric vehicle that will feature technology from Nissan promised all-electric production model due in 2009.
The Nuvu will feature an all-glass roof covered with small solar panels feeding a battery via a ‘tree trunk’ within the car. The Nuvu will use natural, organic and recycled materials within the cabin.
The Pixo is a city car offering low emissions and consumption from a three-cylinder 1.0-litre engine through a four-speed automatic at an accessible price, says Nissan.
Built in collaboration with Suzuki in Delhi, India, Pixo is a brand new four-seater that represents Nissan's effort for the developing markets of the world that the Tata Nano will also cater to. Sales start from late spring 2009.
A revised version of the Note mini-MPV with cleaner engines, Nissan’s all-new Compact combined satellite navigation, audio entertainment and communication system, all-new Murano, and Qashqai+2 will also be on display.
