Honda has announced that the new Jazz small car – due to launch in January 2009 - will cost from £9,990 for the entry-level model.M
Honda says the new Jazz offers the load space, driving feel and high-spec equipment of a larger car, but is also an affordable and economical small car.
The entry-level 1.2-litre S is available from £9,990, while the SE grade - which adds air conditioning and 15-inch alloy wheels - will be priced from £10,990 and is expected to be the most popular of the 1.2-litre variants.
Honda expects to sell most 1.4-litre petrol models with ES grade, accounting for 25 per cent of the total mix. Priced from £11,490, it includes 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, double-trunk boot, refrigerated glovebox and VSA.
Premium spec 1.4 EX with additional 16-inch alloys, auto lights and wipers, cruise control, climate control and panoramic sunroof is priced at £12,790.
Honda's i-SHIFT automatic manual transmission costs £800 and when paired with the 1.4-litre ES the cost is £12,290, while the 1.4-litre EX i-SHIFT is priced at £13,590.
Manual versions of Jazz go on sale in the UK in October, 2008, with the i-SHIFT on sale in January 2009.
