New Volvo XC60 residuals looking good

Voices of residual reason - EurotaxGlass’s and CAP – have confirmed Volvo’s best suspicions, that its new XC60 SUV Crossover is a breed apart when it comes to depreciation.Taking into account a three year/20,000 mile per annum projection, CAP estimates that both the 163bhp Volvo XC60 2.4-litre D and 185bhp D5 SE will achieve trade values of 45% of original new dealer prices. In real terms this amounts to future valuations as good as £11,675 and £12,100 respectively for the SUV Crossover.At worst equalling, otherwise bettering the BMW X3, the new Volvo XC60 is said to be shaping up to trounce the Land Rover Freelander, as it goes for the jugular of the so-called best in class.
Available to order in the UK as of now, the Volvo XC60 manages to capture the aesthetical essence of a sporty coupe, underpinned by the resolutely strong, uncompromising girth of a largely capable SUV, and will arrive in dealer showrooms as of 15/16 November.Volvo Corporate Sales and Leasing Manager John Wallace comments, “This impressive residual value is critical in the highly competitive fleet market as the more the car is worth in three years time the lower the monthly contract hire costs, whether business or personal leasing. This also spells good news for retail buyers who are purchasing the car on Personal Contract Purchasing (PCP).”Prices commence at £24,750 for the entry level XC60 2.4-litre DS.
