Hyundai drivers will be turning the air blue at the end of this month, and it’s nothing to do with automotive-inspired language for once neither. Red and white will also be expressed freely as Hyundai chit more i30 C-Segment chat from the end of August in the style of the car manufacturers’ first ever i30 special edition.
As they say, talk is cheap, and at £11.845 the new Hyundai i30 SE hatchback in Crystal White, Ember Red and Indigo Blue doesn’t tamper with that rule. It may be £690 more than the 1.4-litre Hyundai i30 Comfort donor model, but that won’t colour many peoples judgement when considering the extra flourishes the SE receives.
However finding a further £390 for the trio of mica paint finishes may try the patience of some.
Officially the first special edition in the current Hyundai i30 collection, the SE model not only flaunts new shades, but also exposes much more when you take a peak under its seasonal wear.
Electric sunroof, 16” alloys and electrically folding mirrors all help paint the new Hyundai i30 SE in a better light than its muse – and joins the ESP, air con, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, six airbags and iPod connectivity that still brings the i30’s standard, yet never blank, canvas to life.
The power plants called into i30 SE action is a frugal, yet pronounced 107bhp 1.4-litre petrol engine that sits amongst the lowest emitting fossil fuel-burning C-Segment cars currently in existence, producing 145g/km of carbon dioxide the new i30 SE will also reap fuel benefits proportionate to 46.3mpg.
Hyundai’s usual five year, unlimited mileage warranty that characterizes all its models is in tact here, and along with the aforementioned should see the 700 limited edition i30 SE models mix in the UK street scene in a flash.
