Hyundai i30 revised NCAP scores

The new Hyundai i30 hatch has received a maximum five stars for adult occupant protection after the Korean manufacturer modified the design of the i30 to protect the legs of drivers.
In an earlier blow for Hyundai, the i30 did not receive a maximum five stars for adult occupant protection, but after going back to the drawing board NCAP awarded the hatch the maximum.
However, the i30 dropped points for child protection over insufficient markings to receive three stars out of four, while pedestrian protection was rated at two stars from four.
