NICE Ze-O electric MPV will go on sale this autumn from £14K
Published: 15 July 2008
Electric-vehicle manufacturer NICE Car Company has released the first pictures of a new electric vehicle that will go on sale this year - the Ze-O.
Available to buy from £14,000, the Ze-O MPV will be unveiled at British International Motor Show on 22 July 2008 before going on sale in the UK this autumn. Europe will have to wait until 2009 to get its hands on the green machine.
NICE says the Ze-O is an all-electric MPV that will provide an affordable electric family car.
“All-electric sports car prototypes are eye-catching and interesting,” said Julian Wilford, co-founder NICE Car Company.
“However, we all know customers want practical electric cars and they want them sooner rather than later. The Ze-O is a genuinely spacious and affordable car; it’s coming to the UK this Autumn and to the rest of Europe during 2009.”
The entry level Ze-O will have a range of up to 65 miles in city driving and top speed of 55mph. There will be the option of longer-range lithium-ion batteries firther down the line.
The Ze-O will be emissions free at source, and as such exempt from road tax and London congestion charge. Running costs amount to a few pence per mile, says NICE.
