Published: 08 July 2008
The new Renault Koleos crossover SUV is now on sale, with prices starting from £17,995 and rising to £24,695.
The Koleos will go head-to-head with the likes of the Volkswagen Tiguan and Ford Kuga, and will be available in three trim levels - Dynamique, Dynamique S and Privilège - and two diesel engines. Six-speed manual or automatic gearboxes are available, and two- or four-wheel drive can be specified.
Two diesel 2.0-litre Alliance engines, the dCi 150bhp and the dCi 175bhp are available, with CO2 emissions between 191 and 221 g/km, placing the Koleos in Band F for road tax.
Climate control, cruise control, Bi-Xenon headlamps, 3D colour Satellite Navigation, leather upholstery and Bluetooth are offered as standard on Koleos Privilège. Renault says the Koleos' standard specification means a £3K saving over the comparative Kuga and almost £5.5K over the Tiguan.
Renault says the Koleos’ practicality is evident in its split-opening tailgate, 70 litres of stowage space and boot volume of up to 1,380 litres with the rear seats folded.
Off-road, the Koleos features Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control system and ‘all mode 4x4i’ system.
The Koleos’ 3-D colour navigation system features an altimeter and barometer, while the vehicle’s angle of inclination, the slope and an altitude graph are displayed, while a digital compass is also included.
The ‘Super-Fold’ system enables the 60/40 split-rear seat base to tip up and backrest fold completely flat.
Koleos’ three-year, 100,000 miles warranty offering complete peace of mind. Insurance groups for Koleos range between a competitive 10E for the Dynamique versions and 11E for the Privilège models.
Renault’s new 4x4 crossover Koleos is on sale in the UK on 4th July priced from £17,995 (for the two-wheel drive version) rising to £24,695, available in two diesel engines and in two or four-wheel drive form.
