Honda has confirmed that it will whip the covers off its all-new lightweight sports car concept for the first time anywhere at this month’s British Motor Show.
Spun out under the working title of the ‘Open Study Model’, the name certainly needs some developing, yet the sutty-emission conquering new Honda roadster doesn’t appear to need modifying in the key technology departments.
The strictly two-seater has gone down the route of snuffing out carbon dioxide emissions and excessive fuel usage, a feat that the Honda OSM is said to score well for on both critical fronts.
Sadly Honda stresses the OSM won’t be the next S2000 even though it appears to take on the picture-perfect characteristics of the two-seater.
Hopefully bringing along more than a clay model to ExCeL, Honda assures us that full production of the model is far from imminent. So again, watch this space.
Elsewhere on the Honda stand, green-biased cars with proper names like the hydrogen-powered FCX Clarity and the hybrid CR-Z Coupe will come with details beneath windscreen wipers.
