Sixty special editions of Fiat’s 500 supermini are being delivered to Ferrari UK’s dealer network for use as customer courtesy cars.
Based on the 500 Sport version and painted in traditional Ferrari red paintwork, the exclusive variants are fitted with a 100bhp 1.4-litre engine and a re specially tuned to deliver a Ferrari-style exhaust note.
The engineering features were designed and produced by Magneti Marelli, a components company in the Fiat Group. Inside the limited-edition 500s feature red brake callipers, a sports pedal set, special black steering wheel with red stitching, and 16-inch alloy wheels with 195/45 tyres.
There's also automatic climate control, electric sunroof, prestigious Frau leather interior, stereo, fog lights, numbered plate on the dashboard and Limited Edition wording on the kick plates.
“The link between Fiat and Ferrari is perfect here,” says Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK. “The initiative shows how the 500 can become a platform on which Fiat can create exclusive limited editions, and it will help to continue the model’s fantastic success story – as demonstrated by the 220,000 worldwide orders received so far.”
