Citroen will name all of its 'eco-friendly' models Airdream to highlight the cars' environmentally-friendly credentials.
The French manufacturer says that 50 vehicles from its current line-up qualify for the name, which includes models with CO2 emissions of less than 120g/km or those fitted with a diesel particulate filter system with CO2 below 158g/km or models running on superethanol or those fitted with Stop & Start technology.
The Airdream models are manufactured in an ISO 14001-certified factory that guarantees a minimum level of environmental management, and are designed to be 95% recoverable (recycling and energy recovery) at end of life.
Citroen says the Airdream range will make it easier for customers to make an informed decision when looking for a new car.
