TVR founder Trevor Wilkinson dies

Trevor Wilkinson, the founder of British sports car manufacturer TVR, has died at the age of 85 in Minorca.
Wilkinson founded the company in 1947 - using three letters from his forename to christen the manufacturer - before selling it to Martin Lilley in 1965, but Wilkisnon has remained associated with the company ever since.
A statement on the TVR Club website said: "He was aware of the serious nature of his final illness but, according to a friend, took it in stoical fashion that was typical of the man."
More recently the company passed into the hands of Russian oil millionnaire Nikolay Smolensky before passing into receivership. Smolensky stills owns what remains of the company, but it's future looks uncertain, at best.
TVR is famous for its series of coupes and roadsters, as well as its Power division, which has often provided the engines for the manufacturing arm's models.
