Published: 27 June 2008
Luxury grille-maker extraordinaire STRUT has modded a Range Rover for the Land Rover fan will more money than sense - the Range Rover Carbon Fiber Collections.
Available in a carbon-fibre finish, the Rangey and Rangey Sport are available in chrome or black, while grilles can be matched to any Range Rover paint finish.
The front grille now features a diamond-woven mesh formed from 316L stainless steel and painted black with a specially formulated powder-coat finish, while a handmade pre-impregnated carbon fibre surround coated in automotive-grade clear polyurethane outlines the grille.
A matching diamond-woven mesh lower intake vent and two carbon fiber/stainless steel mesh side vents are included with the Range Rover Sport Carbon Fiber Collection.
The Full size Range Rover Carbon Fiber Collection includes a matching hood grille, while there's a gleaming STRUT shield encased within a carbon-fibre bezel for the tailgate.
According to STRUT 's Tommy Gaut: ”Our customers have been asking for a lightweight, distinctive grille in a sporty design using carbon fiber.
"The STRUT design team chose the highest quality reinforced materials and epoxy resins produced in the U.S. to create a lighter, stronger grille which can be molded into a variety of shapes for our new signature look.”
You can only get your hands on on in the US but if you're headed that way you can let STRUT have at your Rangey for between £5-6K, depending on how vulgar you want it.
