The cost of Ssangyong parts and servicing have been slashed by new UK distributor Koelliker UK (KUK) tries to boost Ssangyong's products following years of falling sales.
Parts prices have been cut by an average of 40 per cent, while menu servicing has been introduced. Koelliker says the review has greatly improved parts availability with dealers now holding a bigger parts stock to minimise time off the road for servicing.
Doug Lincoln, KUK’s aftersales boss explains: “This is about customer satisfaction and reducing the costs of ownership at a time when fuel prices are going the other way.
"We have reduced parts prices by an average of 40 per cent, with many service and body repair parts dropping by even more. Costs of SsangYong ownership are now much more competitive..
“Dealer orders and parts stock levels have improved and so have customer service levels and satisfaction. Service departments can now quote very competitive service prices and dealers have a positive story to tell about costs of ownership. For example, the cost of servicing a Rexton over 30,000 miles is now over £100 cheaper, making it less expensive than a Kia Sorento.”
KUK has recently moved to slash the prices of Ssangyong models - consisting of MPVs and SUVs - which were previously priced out of the market by bizarrely stiff price tags for what are seen as budget models. The company has also announced plans to nearly double its dealership outlets.
There are currently 13 variations of the SsangYong Kyron, Rexton and Rodius model line-ups in the UK with OTR prices ranging from £14,995 to £24,995.
