The new Volvo XC60 crossover SUV will go on sale in the UK from £24,750 this October.
First customer deliveries will commence in November, while the XC60 will be on display at several shows and events across the UK this summer, having been unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Volvo says that more than 250 confirmed orders have been placed so far.
Starting at £24,7501 On The Road, the Volvo XC60 will be available in three trim levels: S, SE and SE Lux and will have the choice of three engines: a turbocharged T6 producing 282bhp, and two variants of the D5 turbodiesel generating 183bhp and 161bhp respectively.
The entry-level S model features 17" Segin alloy wheels, front fog lights, roof rails and rear spoiler, as well as the advanced safety systems you'd expect from a Volvo including City Safety and RSC (Roll Stability Control) as standard.
Interior details include electronic climate control, information centre, cruise control, leather steering wheel with remote audio controls, aluminium trim and performance sound audio system with aux input and CD player.
The SE trim level adds Hill Descent Control, power driver’s seat with memory and autofolding power door mirrors with ground lights, Eriksberg T-Tec/Textile upholstery, autodimming rear view mirror with compass and chrome window trim.
Prices at SE spec start at £26,250 for the 2.4D AWD (163).
The SE Lux enhances the SE specification with luxury features such as chronographic instrument dials, leather upholstery and Nordic Light Oak natural wood trim, while both front seats will be powered and heated. Further enhancements include luxury floor mats and chrome detailing, 18" Merac alloy wheels, active bending headlamps, power tailgate and rear park assist.
Top spec T6 AWD (285) Geartronic is available at £34,495.
The new Volvo XC60 makes its first UK public show appearance in Canada Square Park at the 2008 Canary Wharf MotorExpo from 9 to 15 June

Euro Car Parts has acquired Pinco 1555 Ltd, including all 53 of LSUK's 53 branches, together with subsidiaries M I Diesel Products, Protech Automotive (UK) and Yeovil Rewind.

Fuel protests similar to those that brought the UK to a halt in 2000 are being planned by a breakaway group of disaffected hauliers, according to press reports.

Euro Car Parts has put out a statement on the closure of LSUK, stating that a closure of the business was unavoidable due to a 'lack of support'.

LSUK, thought to have been rescused by Euro Car Parts, has been unexpectedly closed by the new owners with the loss of over 600 jobs.
