Peugeot Partner Tepee - available from just over £11K
Published: 10 June 2008
Peugeot’s new Partner Tepee van will replace the current Partner Combi - the French manufacturer's front-line van since 2001 - when it goes on sale this month.
It will become the second model in Peugeot’s new Tepee range which was launched with the introduction of the Expert Tepee back in March 2007.
Three Partner Tepee versions will be available, the standard Urban version, the S and an Outdoor version aimed at customers who enjoy exploring locations off the beaten track.
The Partner Teepee shares the same length as a typical family hatchback, but with more emphasis on interior space, adaptability and greater rear accessibility. Peugeot is trying to pass off the new van as a family car, but the overwhelming use will be as a light commercial van.
All Partner Tepee models feature remote central door locking and deadlocks, ABS and EBA (emergency braking assistance), sliding side doors, radio / MP3 compatible CD player with remote controls and two airbags (with passenger airbag deactivation) as standard.
The Urban version will be available with a single engine option – 1.6 litre 90bhp petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The second model is the S, which adds full body coloured trim with silver trim below the air intake and silver door handles, height adjustable driver’s seat, storage drawers under the driver and passenger seat, lidded glove box, electric heated door mirrors, front fog lights with chrome surround and carpeted luggage area, to the specification of the URBAN model.
The S version will be available with a choice of three engine options – 1.6 litre 16v 110bhp petrol engine, 1.6 litre HDi 75bhp and 1.6 litre HDi 90bhp diesel engines.
The range topping model is the OUTDOOR, which adds manual air-conditioning, silver trim around air intake, black side protection mouldings, silver lower rear panel trim, side and curtain airbags, cruise control with speed limiter, roof bars, under engine protection tray, uprated 215/55 R16 tyres on 16” Arenal alloy wheels and raised suspension, to the specification of the S model.
The OUTDOOR version will be available with a choice of two HDi diesel engine options only – 1.6 litre HDi 90bhp and 1.6 litre HDi 110bhp with a diesel particulate filter system (FAP).
The Partner Tepee is available in a range of nine individual exterior body colours, combined with either a grey or blue cloth interior trim.
The entry-level Urban 1.6 16v 90bhp is available at £11,215, while the range-topper Outdoor 1.6 HDi 110 FAP is available at £15,305.
