MINI adds City Car/Supermini security award to cabinet

MINI has won the City Car/Supermini category of this year’s British Insurance Car Security Awards.
Awarded on the basis of its New Vehicle Security Ratings - a scoring system measuring ‘theft of’ and ‘theft from’ - MINI beat off its rivals to secure first place in the award that has become a leading indicator of all that is best in vehicle security.
MINI scored the maximum possible five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test – receiving an ‘excellent’ rating for passenger and driver protection in front, side and pole impacts, not to mention a ‘well above average’ rating for child safety.
Is this the fastest MINI in the world? At 650bhp from the 1.6-litre engine we certainly hope so.
