Alfa Romeo MiTo interior shots appear for first time anywhere
Published: 02 June 2008
The interior of the all-new Alfa Romeo MiTo is just how you'd expect the innards of a pedigree Italian jalopy to look, feel and probably, smell.
With the official unzipping of the Alfa Romeo supermini nearly upon us, until now the manufacturer had only deigned to give us snapshots of the car's exterior. Nice as it undoubtedly is, drivers spend most of their car time getting to grips with a dashboard view, so it's always useful to see the lie of the interior land.
Like an elaborate Latino striptease, bit by bit, Alfa has finally got round to un-peeling certain tantalising aspects of the all-new MiTo.
So then, what's it really like? Judge for yourselves, but typically Alfa really. Tightly-grouped, hooded instrumentation pod set amid a dark environment contrasting with flashes of silver seem to be the common theme going on, interspersed with a classy carbon fibre dash.
A spread of control functions are in evidence on the steering wheel, whilst the seats appear made from traditional nappa leather, complete with the obligatory Alfa Romeo crest embroidered onto its facing surfaces.
Prices are expected to begin from around the £12,000 mark for UK buyers next year, although exact details will be determined nearer the launch.
