Seat Bocanegra concept will sell as Ibiza sports-coupe

The new three-door Bocanegra-based Seat Ibiza will be unveiled at the British Motor Show in July.
The three-door Ibiza sport-coupe will be based on the impressive Bocanegra concept unveiled earlier this year, and will go on sale in the UK late in 2008.
Styling will follow the Bocanegra concept closely, and will be visually distinct from the five-door, while power will likely come from the same sub-2.0-litre turbocharged models as seen in other models in Seat's range.
Seat will market the three-door sports coupe as a distinct model from the five-door Ibiza, highlighting its sports credentials and launching warm FR and hot Cupra versions in 2009.
Increasingly the supermini is the choice of car-buyers in an age where the economical, practical, easy to park and ´green´ small car is king.
SEAT will debut the new Ibiza Cupra and low-CO2 Ibiza Ecomotive models at the Paris Motor Show on 2 October.
White-hot coloured new Seat Ibizas and Leons flying out of UK showrooms in 2008, so much so that Seat reckons British motorists are ready for Lumina Orange, Kiwi Green and other new Seat shades this autumn.
The all-new Ibiza five-door hatchback heralds the start of a new product offensive by SEAT. Ibiza three-door SportCoupe diesel, Cupra and FR variants are all on their way too.
Overall the new Ibiza is a sharper looking, sharper handling and roomier car with lots of extra equipment but needs a boost from some new engine options.
