In this - its swan song year of production - the current Renault Kangoo is determined to go out on a high, as it's named Best Light Van 2008 at the the Professional Van and Light Truck Magazine awards gala.
Following in the prize-clutching tread marks of its larger sibling – the Renault Trafic - which picked up Standard Panel Van 2007 gong, the plaudit is made even the more memorable for Renault representation given that its replacement model – the all-new Kangoo – has only just been flirting with members of the public at the CV show at the NEC itself.
In a highly-congested category – featuring the light van talents symbolic of the Citroen Berlingo and Fiat Doblo – the outgoing Renault Kangoo sets a hard act for its replacement to follow when it makes its full UK showroom debut later in 2008.
