
The Saab 9-5 Turbo Edition is available from £20K

Saab has announced the launch of a new Special Edition of its 9-5 Turbo Edition model, which the Swedish car-maker claims is the best value premium car on the market with prices starting at £20K.
The 9-5 Turbo Edition will be available as saloon or estate models and is offered with a choice of three engines – the entry-level 2.0-litre and 2.3-litre petrol models and the 1.9-litre TiD diesel. Manual or automatic transmissions are available.
Standard features include 17-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels, leather sport seats heated both front and rear, electric driver’s seat, headlight washers, sport seats, Automatic Climate Control, Driving Pack (cruise control and car computer), electric windows, Night Panel function, CD player, anti theft alarm and immobiliser and rear parking assistance .
There are two specifications available – the 9-5 Turbo Edition and the top-of-the range 9-5 Aero Turbo Edition, with the latter powered by the 257bhp 2.3-litre engine, which goes from 0-60mph in just 6.5 seconds in the Saloon variant with a top speed of 155mph.
The 9-5 Aero Turbo Edition adds DVD satellite navigation and dual electric seats, as well as the traditional Aero features including performance brakes, Bi-xenon headlights, metallic paint and sport chassis, with prices starting from just £24,995.
The new 9-5 Turbo Editions have a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating and include Saab Active Head Restraints (SAHR), dual-stage front and side airbags, Electronic Stability Programme and reinforced doors.
