New Chevrolet Lacetti Sport

The Chevrolet Lacetti Sport is available from £12,495

Chevrolet has introduced the Lacetti Sport hatchback for £12,495, differentiated from the Lacetti hatch by a factory-fitted body styling kit with body coloured trim, 15-inch alloy wheels, lowered suspension and integrated front fog lamps.

Inside there's a full-leather seat trim finished in charcoal grey, leather-covered steering wheel and gear knob, and metallic-effect inserts on the doors and facia.

Equipment highlights include air conditioning, a cooled glove box, four electric windows, electrically adjustable mirrors and a six-speaker Blaupunkt CD/Radio with steering wheel-mounted controls.

Power comes from a 1.8-litre 120bhp petrol engine, taking the Lacetti Sport to 62mph in 9.8 seconds, with a top speed of 121mph.

The warm hatch also returns 38.1mpg on the combined cycle, emitting 183g/km, so it's not shattering any fuel economy records.

A three-year/30K-mile servicing package is available for £199

Chevrolet increased its UK sales by 27.6 per cent in 2007, with a further 21 per cent year-on-year increase for 2008.
