Jaguar XF wins Design of the Year award

The new Jaguar XF - 'turns heads like no other'

Jaguar has claimed the Fleet World 'Design of the Year Editor's Award' for the second year running – this time for the award-winning Jaguar XF.

Further adding to its collection of accolades, this is the twelfth international award the four-door sports saloon has picked up since its reveal last September. With more than 5,000 orders secured in the UK, the XF's success in its home market is ever-growing.

Commenting on the award, Chairman of Judges George Emmerson said: "The Jaguar C-XF won the Editor's Award in last year's Fleet World Honours largely on the strength of its appearance – a quite stunning car to look at.

"With XF, when you get inside the cabin and feel the quality, then drive it on the open road you realise that the company has delivered on its promise. It is an exceptional car that turns heads like no other in its class."

Jaguar's Design Director, Ian Callum said: "It's highly gratifying to receive recognition for the new phase in Jaguar design and this is further clarification that this new direction is absolutely right for the brand."

Geoff Cousins, UK Managing Director of Jaguar Cars added: "When combining the design qualities of this car with competitive pricing, class-leading residuals* and a wide range of standard specification, the XF really is a great product for the corporate customer."

Editor of Fleet World, Ken Rogers commented: "The Jaguar XF is a dramatic, luxury four-door saloon. It draws on design cues from Jaguar’s illustrious heritage, yet is still very much a contemporary expression of state-of-the-art automotive design. In the judges' view it is clearly destined to become a future automotive design classic."

Notably, the XF recently clinched the coveted 'Car of the Year' award from What Diesel Magazine, What Car? Magazine and The Sun Motoring. Autocar named it their 'Design of the Year' while Top Gear has hailed it their 'Limo of the Year' since its launch.
