Audi has released the first pictures of the Audi TT Clubsport Quattro, which will go into production in late 2008 powered by a 300bhp 2.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol engine.
The turbo engine is also used in the S3 and sends power to all four wheels through a seven-speed S-tronic dual clutch gearbox, which is operated manually through paddle shifters or fully automatically.
The car was unveiled today at the Lake Worther Tour, an annual gathering of VW and Audi enthusiasts held in Austria, revealing the Clubsport Quattro to be a completely roofless TT, meaning we're unlikely to see too many examples in wetter climes such as the UK.
The Clubsport Quattro also features speedster-style glass in place of a standard windscreen, though indicates a few tweaks from the concept first seen in November to make it street-legal.
19-inch alloys are wrapped in 255/35 tyres, and behind them is the uprated braking system from the recently-launched TTS.
Inside there are aluminium pedals door handles alongside buckets sports seats and tan leather trim.
No word on what markets the Audi TT Clubsport Quattro, or how much it's likely to cost, but it will likely slot in between the current TT and forthcoming TT RS.
