BMW says EfficientDynamics could save £500 per year

BMW is to stage an EfficientDynamics Open Weekend to demonstrate its fuel-saving, carbon-cutting technology as seen on several models.
The open day on 31 May and 1 June at dealerships nationwide will allow BMW owners to take advantage of a free multi-point car check to highlight potential cost savings.
By adhering to the driving principles of EfficientDynamics, such as removing unnecessary weight, having tyres correctly inflated and engine lubricants and fluids at the right level, BMW claims the average driver could save up to £120 per annum.
The German manufacturer says that EfficientDynamics technology - now fitted as standard to 95 per cent of new BMWs - could save drivers as much as £400 per annum.
Online vehicle comparator
BMW will launch of an online comparator to compare potential new car purchases between BMW models and key rivals on such points as engine output, performance, fuel consumption, emissions, Vehicle Excise Duty and running costs to get a true picture of ownership.
