The original Mini Coopers made famous for their devil-may-care get-away exploits on the 1969 flick The Italian Job (and not the latter-day re-hashing) thrilled viewers so much that they've been voted numero uno in a recent poll.
Conducted to determine the ultimate movie cars of all time (or at least until Channel 4 inform us differently on a Saturday night soon) the Mini Coopers were adjudged to be more iconic than 19 other fabled celluloid cars of the past few decades on the back of a question and answer session carried out by tyre manufacturer Uniroyal.
In the eyes of 2,000 movie buffs put under interrogation by the rubber dispensers, all the usual suspects were present. Only in a marginally differing order than previous counts. So therefore cast unsurprised glances over the following automotive guilty parties, charged with entertaining film fans in spectacular fashion.
