All-new Peugeot Partner van gets priced up

June sees the launch of the all-new Peugeot Partner light commercial van range - with a starting price of £10,395 rising to £12,195 exc. VAT - which will be available in two versions throughout the manufacturer's UK dealer network.

It also marks the sort-of relegation of the current Peugeot Partner, which will still exist and be sold side by almost side, yet answer to the new name of Partner Origin. Confused? Don't be. Here's the deal.

The Peugeot Partner has been around since 1997, but now it's time to move on to bigger, bolder and better things.

Therefore two new body lengths, (Standard and Extended) two load volumes and three payloads are seen as offering a sizable advantage over the previous Partner, available as two new models – the S and the SE.

Again, a sign of the times, and three new engine options vie for Peugeot van buyers attentions. A 1.6-litre 16V 90bhp petrol is complimented by two new diesels, the 1.6-litre 75bhp and the 1.6-litre 90bhp HDI.

In terms of the payloads you can opt for the accommodating 625kg, the larger 750kg or the mammoth 850kg, whilst the two load volumes measure 3.3 or 3.7 metres.

Standard spec in the S is illustrated by ABS, EBA, drivers airbag, remote-controlled CD, power steering, a drivers ladder frame protector and plenty of not-so hidden storage. Six exterior body colours offset by a grey cloth trim sum up the choice of paint jobs.

Base kit on the SE is exemplified by all the above plus left-hand side-sliding door, multi-flex passenger seat, portable load area light, load area protection pack and one touch 'leccy windows.

Engine-wise, the SE overlooks the petrol, and offers the same exterior hues but with the added bonus of the grey seat fabric making way for a bit of Mistral Blue cloth action.

Optional extras for both models include ESP with traction control, cruise, rear parking aids, deadlocks, Bluetooth, visibility pack, a rear roof flap and an athermic windscreen no less.

The all-new Peugeot Partner will make its world bow at this year's CV Show being held at the NEC next week.
