Pity the poor Jaguar XF. Hot of the press, industry throwing awards at the Big Cat's new executive, orders backed up, suggestions of a renewed Jag. And then along comes Galpin Motorsports with a hideous mod.
This truly terrible design exercise comes from the American Jaguar dealership and includes a new paint job, 22' alloys, smoked rear lamps, blacked-out window trim and a two-tone colour scheme.
Galpin has been selling Ford and PAG models for decades, but as a sideline the California firm mods sports cars in a Pimp My Ride-stylee. What's more, Galpin is responsible for the hey're the ones responsible for creating the K.I.T.T. Shelby GT 500 KR replicas for the Knight Rider film.
Among the vehicles to under the knife courtesy of Galpin are a Jaguar XK8 painted in a Union Jack, a blacked-out Aston Martin DB9 and, bafflingly, a Mazda3.
What we have here is frankly one of the worst examples of modding we've ever seen. Is nothing sacred? MotorTorque's going for a lie down now. Oh, the humanity!
The horror...the horror...
