Audi A4 saloon wins European Auto 1 award

The all-new Audi A4 saloon has been voted Europe's Auto 1 in the Europe-wide magazine awards.
The A45 took first place in nine countries, having been selected as the overall champion by editors, experts and racing drivers with assistance from the '40m' readership of the magazines, of which Auto Express is one.
The first examples of the new Audi A4 are currently being delivered to UK customers, while the all-new A4 Avant opened for UK order on March 3rd and first deliveries will begin in June.
Elsewhere the Fiat 500 won its category for best compact car; the A4 beat the C-Class and Mondeo to win its own category; the Volkswagen Tiguan won best off-roader; Volvo V70 won best large car; sports car and coupe award was won by the BMW M3 coupe; and the Mercedes McLaren SLR roadster won convertibles and roadsters category.
BMW won an innovation award for its fuel efficiency EfficientDynamics system.
