BMW will debut the new 320d Convertible and 125i Coupe alongside an EfficientDynamics concept car at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The BMW 320d Convertible is another in a long line of 3-Series variants, constituting BMW´s most frugal car in the 3-Series line-up using a 177bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine emitting 140g/km of carbon dioxide and returning 53.3mpg on the combined cycle.
The engine develops 258lb-ft of torque that pulls the Convertible to 62mph in 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 139mph.
Stop-start technology on manual cars, a second-generation common-rail injection engine, and a Diesel Particulate Filter fitted are standard.
The 320d SE Convertible is priced at £33,110 from March 2008.
A fourth derivative has been added to the 1-Series Coupe range in the shape of the six-cylinder 125i.
The 218bhp 3.0-litre V6 accelerates from zero to 62mph in 6.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 152mph. The two-door Coupe returns 35.8mpg on the combined cycle and emits 190g/km of CO2.
The new 125i Coupé SE costs £23,195 and is available to buy from March 2008.
The EfficientDynamics concept car will showcase the future of BMW´s carbon-cutting technology such as brake energy recovery and stop-start engine technology.
The forthcoming BMW M3 Convertible with M Double Clutch Transmission, new BMW X6 and 1-Series Convertible also make their European debuts.
