The Cadillac BLS Wagon is available to buy now with a choice of six engines from £21,495.
Cadillac says the BLS estate has just one highly-equipped ´Elegance´ specification in response to the demands of consumers in the sector. Every engine is available with a choice of manual or autobox for an extra £1350, with no price premium for diesel models.
There are with two diesel engines and four petrol engines available on every version of the BLS in Wagon and Saloon format, with both body styles costing the same amount. Range-topping V6-engined 252bhp models are priced £27,495.
Prices start at £21,495 for the 173bhp petrol and 148bhp diesel models, in both Wagon and Saloon variants.
Standard kit includes leather trim, powered and heated front seats, a BOSE Surround Sound 11-speaker audio system, DVD sat-nav, hands-free Bluetooth phone system, dual zone climate control, cruise control, park distance sensors and StabiliTrak electronic dynamic stability control.
Caddy says the new standard spec for 2008 has £4K´s worth of extra equipment. Optional extras are metallic paint at £500 and an electric glass sunroof at £650.
Luggage space is 419 litres with the rear seat in place and 1273 litres with seats folded down.
Cadillac expects the Wagon to make conquest sales from other marques and to account for 50% of BLS sales this year, with a strong focus on business sales. 178bhp diesel and 198bhp petrol-bioethanol models are expected to appeal to this sector.
