The Jeep Patriot 2.0 CRD Sport has been named 4x4 of the Year by 4x4 and MPV Driver magazine.
Bob Murray, Editor of 4x4 and MPV Driver, said: “The Jeep Patriot is quicker than the Land Rover Freelander 2, more able off-road than the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV 4, pumps out less CO2 than the Nissan X-Trail and has a boot around the size of the VW Tiguan’s.
Simon Elliott, Managing Director of Chrysler UK, said: ““This ‘Eco-Jeep’ offers motorists everything they look for when buying a car - a fuel-efficient diesel engine capable of nearly 43mpg, an impressive list of standard equipment, four-wheel drive technology, a spacious interior and high levels of safety and reliability all at a very affordable price.”
4x4 and MPV Driver recently awarded the Jeep brand the Gold Award in its Green 4x4 awards.
The Jeep Patriot is available in Sport or Limited trim and offers a choice of manual and automatic transmissions, with prices starting from £15,995. Since its launch in the UK in June the Patriot has notched up nearly 800 sales.
What a fantastic car, i average about 43 mph and on long journeys as much as 51mph on motorway driving, the car is easy to keep clean due to standard leather seat and easy wipe interior, with 2 kids 2 dogs this is a bonus, it´s great for towing, seriously good off road and has a pretty good allround quality for the money.
The sound system, which is a Boston Accoustics set up is as good as any Bose system i´ve heard, and the overall appearance is what sets it apart from the Japanese/Korean models, of which all look the same.

I got my Patriot earlier this year and love the performance and ride quality. Space, flexability and comfort are a big part of this 4x4. Handles well, with superb torque. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a four wheel drive vehicle!
