Ferrari 430 Scuderia Berlinetta´s US debut at LA Show

Ferrari has shown the 430 Scuderia Berlinetta at the Los Angeles Auto Show - marking the car´s US debut.
The 430 Scuderia develops 503bhp at 8500rpm by a naturally-aspirated 4.3-litre V8 engine with a weight-power ratio of 2.45 kg/hp, which allows it to sprint to 62mph in 3.6 seconds.
A F1-SuperFast2 gearbox means gear changes take 60ms, while an E-Diff coupled with an F1-Trac traction control system matches the high speed with strong cornering ability.
Maurizio Parlato, President and Chief Executive Officer for Ferrari North America says: “Our North American customers specifically have played a significant role in our owner’s racing programs for nearly 15 years, and now we have a vehicle to share that spirit for street driving, while maintaining a stunning example of our racing heritage. For 2008, 250 cars will be available to this market”.
Also on display at the LA Show are the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Sessanta, F430 Spider and the 599 GTB Fiorano.
The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Sessanta (sessanta means "60" in Italian) is based on the 612 Scaglietti and was built to commemorate Ferrari´s 60th anniversary this year. It is available only in Grigio Scuro (charcoal) or Rubino Micalizzato (red).
