Hyundai has released the first details of its i10 city car - the latest iteration of the new ´i´ range of models.
The car measures 3,565mm long and 1,595mm wide on a wheelbase of 2,380mm. Wheels are pushed deep into corners to maximise interior space, meaning the i10 has five seats and five doors.
All i10s will be powered by 66bhp 1.1-litre petrol engines through a manual gearbox as standard or an optional autobox.
Manual versions will manage a fuel consumption in excess of 60mpg on the combined cycle and produce 119g/ km of carbon dioxide, meaning an exemption from the proposed 2008 London Congestion Charge and tax of £35 a year.
Prices are expected to start at £6,500 with air conditioning, front electric windows, central locking, power steering and six-speaker CD/MP3 stereo as standard.
The i10 will have four airbags with a passenger side cut-off, allowing for the fitting of a childseat.
The i10 will also benefit from Hyundai´s five-year unlimited-mileage warranty.
The first i10s will arrive at Hyundai dealerships in March 2008.

It just looks like an updated Amica - tall and narrow - with some goodies thrown in.Not sure about the price too - about £500 too dear for the basic model.
