Maserati shows Quattroporte Sport GT S

Maserati has unveiled the Quattroporte Sport GT S at the Frankfurt Motor Show for its worldwide preview.
Intended for those looking for a sporting edge in a luxury saloon, the Quattroporte Sport GT S, equipped with an automatic 6-speed gearbox, offers ‘exceptional dynamic behaviour and uncompromised handling’, says Maserati.
The Quattroporte Sport GT S’s “racing” set up includes lowering the car by 10mm at the front and 25mm at the rear and also features new, stiffer springs and dampers.
The lower ride height and greater rigidity in the suspension decreases the roll and pitch angles in the weight transfer and also to a slight increase in lateral acceleration, according to the Italian manufacturer.
The Quattroporte Sport GT S also boasts a braking system developed in collaboration with Brembo which uses composite dual-cast discs, the first use of such a set up on a road car.
The new braking system also features new mono-block, six-piston front brake callipers and new tyres have been developed especially for the car with a larger rear ground footprint allowing optimum use of the V8’s 400bhp.
The Quattroporte Sport GT S sports a black-chrome mesh front grille, black side window trims and black double exhaust pipes and black door handles.
The Quattroporte Sport GT S is fitted with dark-chrome 20", seven spoke alloy wheels.
The interior finish features carbon-fibre with aluminium treads, with Poltrona Frau leather and Alcantara available in five colours (Beige, Pearl Beige, Grigio-Gray, Nero-Black, and Blu Trofeo).
