A company that has designed an user-programmable conversion system for petrol/liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cars will show the system at the Castle Combe race circuit on 22 September.
Future Power’s LPG conversion system is capable of being programmed by the user to give the optimum performance in terms of driveability or economy with a laptop.
LPG produces fewer greenhouse gases and half the nitrogen emissions of petrol and a tenth of a diesel engine, according to Future Power, while 90% fewer particulate emissions are produced than burning diesel.
Future Power’s Managing Director, Malcolm Douglas enthused “This conversion is the first to be truly suitable for high performance cars from sports cars to luxury SUVs.
”It is now quite possible for the executive and the enthusiast to have their sporty car and also combat critics by running on LPG, making their cars much more environmentally friendly than many alternative petrol or diesel “city” cars.”
Have your cake and eat it, says Future Power.
