Mitsubishi i on sale next month at £9K

The Mitsubishi i city car will cost £9084 when it goes on sale next month in the UK with one highly- specced trim.
The £9K price tag – which doesn’t compare favourably to other city cars – includes climate control, alloys, remote central locking, a CD player and some scraps of leather trim.
The rear-mid-engined, four-seater i 660cc turbo engine delivers 64bhp at 6000rpm and 69lb-ft of torque at 3000rpm through a four-speed auto box and has a top speed of 90mph.
Emissions are low at 114g/km and Mitsubishi claims the i is capable of 54.6mpg on the combined cycle.
Of an initial availability of 300 units, Mitsu says 150 have been sold already.
