More Citroen C5 models on sale

Citroën has now broadened its New Look C5 range by introducing four great value Design models. Available in both hatchback and estate body styles, these new models are specially designed to appeal to private buyers looking for a combination of generous equipment levels at competitive prices.

The New Look C5 Design is based on the current LX model, but reinforces this large family car’s reputation for providing excellent value for money by offering enhanced equipment specifications at an additional cost of just a few hundred pounds. Including the current £2,600 cashback offer, prices for the new models start at £12,995.

On the outside, the New Look C5 Design adds alloy wheels and front fog lamps, whilst the driver and passengers benefit from automatic illumination of the headlamps, automatic windscreen wipers and electric windows all round. All of this is on top of the standard specification which already includes automatic air conditioning, an alarm, ESP with traction control, seven airbags and remote control central locking.

Helping to keep running costs down, the New Look C5 Design has an insurance group rating of 8, while all passengers will be reassured by the 5 star Euro NCAP crash test rating. And of course all models offer first class levels of comfort thanks to Citroën’s acclaimed Hydractive suspension system.

As a hatchback, the 117hp 1.8i 16V petrol New Look C5 Design can accelerate from standing to 62mph in around 11 seconds, and on to a top speed of 122mph. The 110hp 1.6HDi diesel returns similar performance figures, yet can deliver over 50 mpg on the combined cycle, with CO2 emissions as low as 142g/km.
